Provincial Police are reporting a fatality in a two-vehicle collision around Shabaqua on Highway 11/17.
An east bound pickup truck collided with a west bound tractor trailer unit.
The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene and the name is being withheld until the next of kin has been notified.
The driver and passenger of the transport truck were transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
The highway remains closed in the meantime with no estimation on when it will be re-opened.
