Federal election candidates confirmed

Elections Canada has confirmed the candidates seeking election in the upcoming federal election.

Candidates had until this past Monday to register.

In northwestern Ontario, all of the three major parties are represented.

The People’s Party of Canada and Greens also have candidates in the ridings of Thunder Bay-Superior North, Thunder Bay-Rainy River and the newly created Kenora-Kiiwetinoong.

There is also an Independent listed for Kenora-Kiiwetinoong.

Here is the complete list of names as provided by Elections Canada.

Thunder Bay Rainy River

Eric Arner – Green Party of Canada.
Brendan Hyatt – Conservative Party of Canada
Marcus Powlowski (incumbent) – Liberal Party of Canada
Sabrina Ree – People’s Party of Canada
Yuk-Sem Won – New Democratic Party

Thunder Bay-Superior North

Amos Bradley – People’s Party of Canada
Patty Hajdu (incumbent) – Liberal Party of Canada
Bob Herman – Conservative Party of Canada
John Malcolm Northey – Green Party of Canada
Joy Wakefield – New Democratic Party

Kenora-Kiwetiinoong

Kelvin Boucher-Chicago – Independent
Tania Cameron – New Democratic Party
Bryce Desjarlais – People’s Party of Canada
Charles Fox – Liberal Party of Canada
Jon Frank Hobbs – Green Party of Canada
Eric Melillo (incumbent) – Conservative Party of Canada
