The Wabigoon Local Services Board is getting $25,000 from the Federal government.
The money is earmarked for the “Seniors: Bridging Our Future” program.
The project aims to get seniors involved in organizing and running various activities.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford made the announcement Monday stressing the project will pair seniors with tech savvy youth to teach them more about internet use.
The program will teach more about elder abuse, scams and financial abuse as well as the importance of volunteering.
