Federal Funding for Winter Roads

The Federal Government has announced an additional $875,000 for the winter road network in the far north.
The money is on top of the $2.1-million for construction and maintenance
added this winter.
The Nishnawbe-Aski Development Fund says the money should help
improve access across the north but stresses climate change is rapidly
changing the winter roads system.
