The Federal government is out with $2.2-million in funding for a new provincial employment project for Metis individuals.
The money will help Indigenous people get skills in the energy and electrical fields, including welding, and industrial maintenance.
Kenora MP Bob Nault made the announcement over the weekend.
Nault says the investment comes from the Skills Partnership Fund and is earmarked for the Metis Nation of Ontario.
