Two area communities have received Federal funding to start looking at road upgrades.
Machin will use $50,000 to launch a road sensing assessment.
The assessment is used to collect data about needed pavement repairs and maintenance.
Kenora is getting more than $42,000 for the same work.
The funding is part of a $75-million, five-year plan to help communities strengthen infrastructure investments and deal with climate change.
A total of 103-initiatives are receiving funding in Canada.
