Federal Funds To Support Environmental Study

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency is funding 10 First Nation communities in Northern Ontario.
It’s to support their participation in the environmental assessment of the proposed Rainy River Gold Project.
First Nations receiving funding:
Big Grassy River, Naicatchewenin, Whitefish Bay, Rainy River, Couchiching, Mitaanjigamiing, Nigigoonsiminikaaning, Seine River
Organizations receiving funding:
Metis Nation of Ontario and Rainy River Soil and Crop Improvement Association.
