Federal Liberal Hopeful Targeting Mining Sector

One federal Liberal leadership candidate knows a lot of work has to be done to properly grow the mining industry in Northwestern Ontario.
Candidate David Bertschi says the federal government has to make sure the industry doesn’t damage the environment.
Bertschi says another big concern the government needs to help correct is building a larger skilled labor force to fill trade positions.
He says other industries are already bringing workers in from over seas to work in some trades that are seeing a lack of qualified workers in Canada.
Bertschi also says it’s important to give companies incentive to manufacture at source.
