Federal Support for Ignace and Dryden

Badly needed support for the community of Ignace.
The Federal Government has approved a project extension under the Canada-Ontario Infrastructure Program for the new water treatment plant.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford says the extension will allow Ignace to complete the project in a timely manner and submit their eligible costs for reimbursement under the program.
Rickford says the Township may also be available for additional Federal funding.
The project has been plagued by cost overruns as well as construction issues.
Meantime, the Feds have also announced $28,000 for the Dryden Development Corporation to develop an investment portfolio for potential businesses.
