FedNor Funding for Two Communities

FedNor is spending more money to help area communities.
Red Lake will extend water, sewer and utility services to a new Highway commercial development thanks to $500,000 in funding.
The lot will accommodate businesses that have expressed an interest in moving to the community.
Slate Falls First Nation, in partnership with Cat Lake First Nation will use nearly $282,000 to complete a strategic land use plan for their territories, about 130-kilometres north of Sioux Lookout.
The initiative will identify future economic development opportunities.
