Federal NDP are planning to put forward yet another private members bill that calls for FEDNOR to be a stand-alone agency.
A similar bill was killed on the order table in the last session of Parliament when it was prorogued.
FEDNOR critic Claude Gravelle says its important to have the funding agency separate from Industry Canada.
Gravelle says a separate agency may help communities and organizations access funding quicker.
