The federal government says they are creating summer jobs for youth across the Kenora District.
Minister of Employment and Social Development Pierre Poilievre is announcing 83 more summer jobs will be provided across the region in relation to the Canada Summer Jobs program.
Poilievre says the program is beneficial for youth trying to enter the job field.
He says small businesses can apply for funding to hire a young person and help them along their way to a life of work.
Poilievre calls it a simple and streamlined process.
He says on the job training is the best way to create more employment opportunities.
The federal government adds the Canada Summer Jobs program is expected to create over 35,000 jobs across Canada.
