The federal government wants to know what you think the region’s priorities are.
They’ve launched an online survey that will gather comments on economic development in northern Ontario.
Spokesperson Aime Dimatteo says they are seeking the best advice from northerners on what their true needs are.
Dimatteo admits this area is unique and stresses they want to develop an economic plan that reflects northern needs and that is built in this region and not Ottawa.
He notes the government is now working on a Prosperity and Growth plan for the north.
