To start the school year before or after Labour Day?!
That’s the question School Boards in the Kenora-Rainy River Districts want answered in a new on-line survey.
Carol Hron is a Superintendent of Education with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board and says they are looking for feedback from parents, students, instructors and members of the public
Hron says all feedback collected will be taken back to the Regional School Year Calendar Committee for their use in creating the 2017-2018 School Calendar.
She notes all regional boards will go back to the public for feedback on a draft schedule.
Hron notes recent trends find most people are in favour of a pre-Labour Day opening.
