A coalition of health and social service agencies are taking their lobby effort for fetal alcohol clinics in Sioux Lookout and Kenora to a new level.
The groups are busy collecting names for a petition which will be presented in the Ontario Legislature.
The petition is scheduled to be delivered by Kenora-Rainy River M.P.P. Howard Hampton tomorrow (Thursday) at Queen’s Park.
The diagnostic clinics have been running on a trial basis for the past couple of years, but the funding will run out at the end of July.
Both the provincial and federal levels of government have
been lobbied for long-term funding for the program.
