The Ontario Sunset Country Travel Association is reporting a decline
in American visitors this summer.
Last year, 75,000 U.S tourists crossed at the Fort Frances border
into Canada.
So far this year, only 73,000 Americans have crossed.
Executive Director Gerry Cariou says the region has seen an increase in
domestic travel.
Cariou believes the passport issue and high Canadian dollar have had an
impact on Americans deciding not to visit the North.
