Mayor Dan Onichuk came under fire last night at council for a lack of receipts for certain expenses he claimed.
Councilors Todd Hamilton and Tanis Drysdale led the attack stating there were missing receipts from Mayor Onichuk from back in 2004.

Hamilton said the mayor should just bring the receipts in, and he was sure there wouldn’t be any problem.
Onichuk added that at that time in 2004, all source documents were not a requirement by policy.
When it was proposed to send the issue back to Administration and Finance for recommendation, Hamilton said he didn’t want to do that.
He suggested it had been discussed, and councilors agreed in the future, the receipts for expenses should all be provided.
