Fibratech Talks Continue

Negotiations continue with parties interested in purchasing Atikokan’s idled Fibratech mill but the main stumbling block is who will pay for the outstanding back taxes.
The receiver and potential buyers continue to talk on a daily basis and according to Atikokan Mayor Dennis Brown a major sticking point is the issue of taxes owed to the township by Fibratech.
Brown says lawyers continue to work on a solution and he’s hopeful of a good outcome.
