Finals Set In Atikokan

The defending champion Phillips rink will get a chance to repeat after scoring a pair of tie breaker wins at the Northern Ontario Mixed Curling playdowns in Atikokan. After falling in the final draw to set up a pair of tie breakers Phillips rebounded with a 7-4 win over the Premo rink Saturday afternoon. Phillips then beat out Kenora’s Affleck rink 8-5 to advance to the finals. The contest is set for 8:30 a.m. between the round robin winner Scharf and Phillips for the Northern Provincial crown and a berth at the 2005 Canadian Mixed championships.
