As the spending habits of Attawapiskat First Nation undergoes an audit,
The Canadian Press has learned a federal office is getting a visit
from an auditor as well.
The Aboriginal Affairs department has ordered the audit after a
manager at the Indian and Inuit Services office in Yellowknife went
on a taxpayer-funded shopping spree.
Documents obtained under Access to Information show the
bureaucrat charged 40-thousand dollars to government credit cards
over two and a half years for such things as a Vegas vacation and
Internet games.
