Fine and Four Year Ban For Shooting Moose from Boat

A Hudson man will pay a 2 thousand dollar fine and is banned from hunting for four years after being convicted of shooting a moose from a boat.

Ronald Elliot entered a guilty please in court in Sioux Lookout last week.

MNRF Conservations officers testified that Elliot shot a bull moose that was standing on the shore while operating a moving motor boat.

The incident occurred on Altimeter Creek, North of Lac Seul, last October.
