The 2007 SIJHL season has come to an end for the Dryden Ice Dogs.
The Dogs battled back from two, 3 goal deficits but came up just short, losing 5-4 to the Fort William North Stars Wednesday in Thunder Bay.
Coach Randy Lulashnick says they just couldn’t pot that game tying goal, but stresses he was proud of their playoff effort.
The Ice Dogs almost tied the game in the dying seconds, but a shot in the slot area sailed just over the cross-bar.
Nicholas Doiron, Ryan Pearson, Chris Kitt and Brendan MacDonald scored for Dryden who fell to the North Stars 4 games to 1.
In the other SIJHL Semi-Final, Schreiber beat the Thunder Bay Bearcats 8-5 Wednesday to take a 3-2 series lead.
