Fines for Salt Work

A private contractor has been fined $3,000 for dumping salt at the side of Wehrstedt Road.
Dryden court heard that John Wehrstedt dumped excess salt at the side of the road instead of returning it to a salt depot one day after his contract expired.
Wehrstedt was found guilty of one charge under the environmental protection act.
