Fire at Dryden Safeway

It was business as usual at Dryden Safeway this morning (Friday) despite a fire in the produce section.
Dryden Fire was called to the blaze just before 8 o’clock and on arrival found heavy smoke inside the store.
A Safeway employee managed to knock down the fire with a portable fire extinguisher and crews ventilated the smoke from the store.
The cause of the fire was electrical wiring and equipment in the produce coolers.
