Fire Ban in Sioux Lookout

A fire ban has been issued in Sioux Lookout, Hudson and Alcona.
Fire Chief Rob Favot says brush and grass fires as well as campfires are banned until further notice.
This includes the use of incinerators and burning barrels.
The ban was issued because of the recent dry period and the amount of fire crews dedicated to the New Osnaburgh blaze.
Mayor Dennis Leney says its better to be safe than sorry.
