Fire Ban Lifted in Sioux Lookout

Another sign that the fire situation is cooling down.
With the Ministry of Natural Resources lifting a Restricted Fire Zone, the Municipality of Sioux Lookout has lifted a Fire Ban.
Fire Chief Rob Favot still urges caution when burning brush and grass as well as lighting camp fires and using incinerators and burning barrels.
Favot notes its entirely possible that the Municipality may have to impose another fire ban later this summer.
Sioux Lookout will be strictly enforcing its burning permit system and violations can lead to a fine as high as $155.
