The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is reminding the public an outdoor fire ban remains in effect.
Information Officer Jonathan Scott stresses the ground is dry and the hazard is high across much of the district.
Several small grass fires have sparked in recent days prompting the reminder.
One fire is considered active in the northwest.
The small blaze sparked Thursday near Canyon Lake in the Dryden area.
It’s listed as not under control but poses no threat.
