Fire Crews Could be Busy

After a couple of years of limited activity, things are expected to
heat up in 2006 for Ministry of Natural Resources fire crews.
The MNR has responded to just over 720 forest fires over the past
2-years.
Information Officer Debbie McLean says early indications show a busy
spring and summer.
McLean says regardless of the weather, conditions are already volatile
beacuse of an extensive track of damaged timber across the region.
