Fire Hazard High

25 new fires were reported on the weekend across Northwestern Ontario.
Information Officer Travis Moffatt says a majority of the fires were
caused by lightning.
The Region saw over 25,000 lightning strikes over a 3-day period.
Moffatt says all of the fires were kept under 5-hectares in size.
He says the fire hazard remains high across the District.
