Fire Hazard High to Extreme

Even though rain is in the forecast for the weekend the MNR is keeping the fire hazard at high to extreme across Northwestern Ontario.
Information Officer Travis Moffatt says the recent warm weather has dried things up and forests are now at risk of fires.
Moffatt is recommending that camp goers refrain from open burning.
There are several small fires burning in the Region however all are under control.
Saying that, the Northwest region has sent 63 personnel to Alberta, the Yukon and B.C.
