Fire Hazard Jumps To High/Extreme

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is asking the public to be extremely vigilant over the next few days as the fire hazard has jumped to high to extreme across much of the northwest. There were no new fires reported Tuesday but dry and hot conditions have crews on alert. There are 14-active fires burning, only one that is listed as not under control. A blaze burning near North Spirit Lake First Nation has grown to over 3,800-hectares but poses no threat to the community.
