The Ministry of Natural Resources says the fire hazard in
the western region is moderate.
Fire Information Officer Travis Moffatt says despite
there being no new fires in this region, they’ve sent
manpower and equipment to other area in need.

Moffatt adds the fire hazard in the region could stay at
moderate for a while, since the forecast is calling for
more rain.
