Provincial Police say no one was injured in Monday’s fire at the CN Hotel in Rainy River.
Officers observed a small amount of smoke coming from the roof of the 103-year-old building.
No one was inside the Hotel when emergency personnel arrived on scene.
The landmark Hotel was destroyed but fire crews successfully kept the flames away from surrounding buildings.
The OPP is working with local fire departments and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office to determine the cause of the blaze.
