Fire Officials Investigating Major House Fire

One person is in hospital with serious injuries following a house fire in Oxdrift on the weekend.
The Dryden Fire Service says the blaze was reported around 9:30 Saturday night on Prouty Road.
Oxdrift and Dryden firefighters spent well over 5-hours trying to extinguish the blaze.
Oxdrift Fire officials say the house burned to the ground and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office has been assigned to handle the investigation.
The exact cause isn’t known at this time.
Officials say a male occupant of the home was transported to Dryden Hospital and later airlifted to the Toronto area with serious burns.
