Fire On Highway 17 Near Kenora

Highway 17 is now open to one lane of traffic after a fire to a tractor-trailer unit.
The fire broke out around midnight near the west end of the Kenora by-pass.
While no injuries are reported, the trailer unit was destroyed by the blaze.
The cab also caught fire and crews were able to successfully disconnect the trailer and move it to off the roadway.
It’s believed the rig was hauling a load of paint.
Traffic was being re-routed through Kenora all morning.
