Fire Personnel Getting a Break

The wet and cooler conditions has provided some relief for Ministry
of Natural Resources fire crews.
Although new fires can start at any time, personnel have had more time
to rest as well as clean and repair equipment.
Information Officer Debbie McLean says this is also a time when summer
students start packing up their gear.
McLean says they have more then enough personnel to handle new starts.
911 forest fires have burned a total of 18,000 hectares of land
in the Northwest since the start of April.
