Ministry of Natural Resources fire crews had a hectic day Thursday
with water bombers seeing plenty of activity.
The warm, dry conditions sparked 6-new blazes in the Red Lake, Sioux
Lookout and Fort Frances areas.
Information Officer Travis Moffatt says fire activity is back to
an average level after a quiet spring last year.
Moffatt says the public is being asked to refrain from outdoor burning
and to use extra caution with all fires.
