Fire Situation Being Monitored in B.C. And Ontario

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry now has more than 300 fire personnel working in British Columbia. Close to 30 firefighters left for the western province Tuesday. Information Officer Jamie Scrimger says they continue to monitor the situation in both provinces. Scrimger says the decision on crew allocation is made on a day-by-day basis. There has been increased fire activity in northwestern Ontario but Scrimger says they do have enough support here at home to deal with any new forest fire.
