FIREFLY in Kenora-Rainy River continues to take a cautious approach to in-person services due to on-going COVID-19 concerns.
CEO Karen Ingebrigtson says virtual service remains their first delivery option for all clinical services at this time, noting it’s the best defence in terms of safety for children, youth, families and staff.
There are some personal services being offered in regional offices, schools and in client’s homes because they can’t be carried out in a virtual setting.
One example is infant physiotherapy.
For those who don’t have access to a computer, tablet or smartphone, the children and youth agency does have 20 loaner iPads, complete with 3G capability.
FIREFLY encourages families and youth to reach out if they are in need of services by calling the centralized intake number at 1-833-696-5437 or emailing intake@fireflynw.ca
