Dryden City Staff still have some cutting to do in the 2010 Municipal Budget.
The first draft of the combined capital and operating budget was presented to Council Monday night, with the document showing a $3.2-million deficit.
There are 5-new staff positions proposed for next year, including a full-time grant writer.
$100,000 has been earmarked for Centennial Celebrations and funding for Youth Centre activities is budgeted at $44,000.
Also included in the first draft of the budget is a $371,000 increase in wages and benefits.
The Public will be able to provide input on the first draft of the combined budget at next Monday’s Open Council Meeting.
