Both levels of senior Government have signed a new agreement with the
Nishnawbe-Aski and Grand Council Treaty #3 First Nations that will result
in increased benefits from trapping.
Toni Prudori is with Indian and Northern Affairs Canada and says the
deal will help build a better future for local First Nations.
Prudori says the agreement is vital in maintaining good working
relationships with the Provincial Government and Aboriginals.
The agreement will allow First Nations to issue trapping licences,
address the current royality system and administer trap-line allocations.
