First Nations to Discuss Drinking Water Concerns

Ottawa plans to consult next month with First Nations representatives on improving drinking and waste water in their communities.
Indian Affairs Minister Chuck Strahl and Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq will hold talks on improving water issues.
In 2006, Ottawa announced a plan of action to improve access to safe, clean drinking water on reserves.
A 2-year, $330-million investment in a First Nations water and waste water action plan was announced in 2008.
