Bus safety is the focus of the ‘First Rider’ program being offered to
public and catholic school students in the Dryden area.
The initiative is designed for students entering Junior Kindergarten
to Grade 2 this year.
Judy Green is the Transportation Manager for the Keewatin-Patricia
District School Board and says participants learn some helpful tips to stay
safe.
The program also gives kids an opportunity to ride the bus alone to
help them get more comfortable for the first day of school.
25-participants are needed and the deadline to register is Monday.
The program will be offered on August 19th at Riverview School.
