Flags are flying at half mast at the Fort Frances Civic Centre.
They are doing so in honour of a soldier originally from Thunder Bay who was killed in Afghanistan.
22 year old Private Robert Costall lost his life early Wednesday morning in gunfire near Kandahar.
Costall, who was based out of Edmonton, is survived by his wife and one year old son.
