The local ‘Flavour…Gone’ Committee is pleased the Provincial Government is making a move to ban cigarillos.
Bill 123 has passed second reading in the Legislature.
Dryden’s Sam McKibbon says cigarillos can be bought for less than 2-dollars, which makes them affordable to youth.
McKibbon adds the flavours make them more appealing to kids.
He says the Ontario Government has recognized the dangers of flavoured tobacco products which directly target youth.
