Florence Marie Smith

We the family, are saddened to announce that our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, companion, and friend, Florence Marie Smith passed away suddenly, but peacefully with family at her side and following a brief but courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, February 16, 2008, at the Dryden Regional Health Centre. Florence is lovingly remembered by her children, Lynda, Dawn, Joni, Tim, and Dan; by ten grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister Alma; brothers Gordon and Bob; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Florence will be especially missed by her dear friend and companion William Heck. In accordance with mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of mom’s life will be held on Thursday, February 21st at 11:00 a.m. in Dryden First United Church with Pastor Greg McKee officiating. Interment of ashes will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dryden Regional Health Centre CT Scan Fund or a charity of your choice through the Stevens Funeral Homes Moffat Chapel, P.O. Box 412, Dryden, Ontario.
