The Northwestern Health Unit is now offering free flu shots in some communities.
Officials are urging everyone to book an appointment as open spots are quickly being filled.
The first available clinic in Dryden isn’t until November 6th as the first five days have already been booked-up.
There are a couple of openings at the Northwestern Health Unit office in Red Lake Wednesday, while the first available clinic in Sioux Lookout isn’t until November 14th.
You can also receive the vaccine by visiting area pharmacies.
Children four and under, pregnant women and seniors are particularly at risk of serious complications due to the flu.
