There’s still time to get your flu shot, especially since there is now evidence of the flu in the district.
Manager of Infectious Diseases with the Northwestern Health Unit Donna Stanley suggests that everyone gets the shot, especially this time of the year when families are getting together during the holidays.
Stanley also wants to remind the public that the flu shot is for respiratory illness such as coughing, congestion, fever and does not help with the “stomach flu”.
Flu shots are still available at the Northwestern Health Unit and through your family doctor.
