Health Canada has lifted the temporary suspension of two flu vaccine products.
Manager of Infectious Diseases with the Northwestern Health Unit Donna Stanley says the problem started in Europe when white flakes were found in Fluad and Agriflu.
They took precautions because the health unit gets the vaccines from the same company.
However, Stanley says they were still able to provide flu shots because they have access to a third vaccine that wasn’t affected.
For more information on getting the flu shot, call the toll-free number 1-866-468-2240 or visit www.nwhu.on.ca.
