Sioux Lookout’s Jesse Wilkins has been named Superior International Junior Hockey League Player of the Week.
The 18-year-old Calgary native put in a strong performance last week, registering 40-saves or more in all three of his starts.
Wilkins posted a solid .928 save percentage in that span, helping the Flyers pick up 3-points.
In all, he made 129-saves.
Dryden’s Alex Galbraith received honourable mention.
In other SIJHL news, the Fort Frances Lakers have been ranked 16th in the National Junior Hockey rankings.
